The anniversary exhibition of the artist Ekaterina Fedorovna Shchanitsyna

22 September - 22 October 2017

In the All-Russian Museum of Decorative and Applied and Folk Art from September 22 to October 22, 2017 will be an exhibition "Blessing", timed to the anniversary of Ekaterina Fedorovna Shchanitsyna. Creativity of the artist reflected the essence of Palekh art, combining high poetics and folklore content of the lacquer miniature of Palekh.

The artist has enriched the legacy of Palekh ornamental compositions with creative finds. The composition "Birds of gold" - a declaration of love in the radiance of a golden letter, among the delicious herbs and flowers. The carnival nature of the fairs with their many-voiced, multicolored, joyful and businesslike is very colorful and fully represented in the work Maslenitsa. In the work "Party" (On Vychegda) the happy life of a Russian village is depicted. On the hill there is a church with a bell tower, similar to the Palekh Cross Exaltation Church, a bridge across the river on which women wash, rinse and dry clothes, on the beach, weave, weave, weave, sauerkraut, in the yards feed birds and lambs, somewhere in the meadows mowing, on the shore - a rendezvous of the young, run around, children play - everything is permeated, saturated, full of a sense of harmony, enlightened feelings, joyful perception of life. The noble coloring of soft shades of gold ocher, white, blue and light scarlet enhances the sense of perfection of earthly life.

Miniatures written on biblical subjects and icons by Ekaterina Feodorovna, for example, "Salvation of Moses", radiate incomparable joy, which she generously shares with the surrounding world.
